Ammazza will open in early July in the Old Fourth Ward. Brothers Hugh and Jason Connerty are hoping to establish a unique Italian eatery which features a menu that will focus on locally grown ingredients.
In addition to offering Neapolitan-style pizzas, the menu will serve up dishes like fried spaghetti, various antipasto selections, and desserts like traditional cannolis and sfogliatelle.
The restaurant will be a fast-casual concept, allowing diners to order at the counter and have their meal delivered to their table. The beverage selection will be vast with a full-service bar, Sprecher’s gourmet sodas on tap, and house-made limoncellos.
Ammazza will open at 591 Edgewood Ave., near Miso Izakaya.
